| Yoga
is a thousand years old and is one of the most
sophisticated forms of physical therapy.
Often when asked, sports people admit to forgetting
to stretch and although most active sports people
are very healthy and fit, they often suffer from
shortened muscles. This limits their range of
motion and causes imbalanced or misalighned musculature
due to predominant use of one side of the body,
as for example, that used in golf or tennis. Likewise,
running is great for the heart and lungs, but
also severly tightens the muscles at the backs
of the legs. Overall, the harder you train, the
tighter the body becomes.
- All injuries in sport are caused by structural
and muscular imbalances.
- Muscular imbalances and structural irregularities
do not fix themselves.
- Stopping training does not correct an imbalance.
- Strength developes flexibility safely.
- Yoga helps prevent injuries in sporting activities.
- Yoga improves focus and awareness.
- Yoga helps to keep the nervous system calm.
- Yoga corrects and improves posture.

- Yoga brings a dynamism and lightness of being
to your sport.
- Yoga helps you to work with your body rather
than against it.
